Within the Makerspace, there are bins with scrap material, such as wood, metal and plastics. Students are encouraged to take from these bins and incorporate this to their project while in the makerspace. This material is free-of-charge and accessible only while in the makerspace.
We have a small assorted selection of fasteners and hardware that are available for students working on academic projects while in the Makerspace. Note: Availability of these parts is subject to the discretion of Makerspace staff. We do not provide hardware and fasteners outside of the Makerspace.
For the Capstone 3D printer, Capstone students must bring their own filament spool to the Makerspace in order to use this printer. If you plan on using this, please fill out the form here.
For your safety, while in the makerspace, safety glasses, steel-toe caps and disposable ear plugs are provided.
If you are planning to submit a job request for the engineering staff to execute that involves additive or subtractive manufacturing, please fill out the form below.
