eHUB Costs

Centralized Cost Information

The eHUB at UBC’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering provides a range of services, including mechanical design, 3D printing, laser cutting, and waterjet cutting, to support academic and research endeavors. Service costs begin at $50 per hour for mechanical design, fabrication, and training, while 3D printing starts at $15 per build plate plus $0.10 per gram and a $32 setup fee, and laser and waterjet cutting start at $30 with additional material costs.

Exemptions may apply for certain courses. For course-related costs, it is recommended to consult your ECE course support page.
For detailed charges related to ECE Engineering Services, refer to the tables below.

Key Notes for Students: Costs apply unless your course qualifies for exemptions. Check with your instructor or Makerspace for details.
