ECE Makerspace
The ECE Makerspace, located at MCLD 1018 within the eHUB, is a dedicated workspace for hands-on course-related and research projects, including woodworking, metalworking, and electronics.
Equipped with machinery, tools, workbenches, soldering stations, and 3D printers, it supports building, repairing, and prototyping.

Eligibility
The Makerspace is open to ECE faculty, staff, and actively enrolled ECE students.
Getting Started
To access the Makerspace, you must complete the Makerspace Safety Training. Visit the “Makerspace Training” tab for details.
Note: ECE undergraduate students must complete Safety 101 as a prerequisite for Makerspace Safety Training.
What Can You Do at the Makerspace?
Students and researchers use the Makerspace for:
- Cutting clear acrylic enclosures and custom parts
- 3D printing components for robots and devices
- Prototyping electronics with soldering stations
- Work on wood and metal for mechanical structures
Hours of Operation
The Makerspace is typically open weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, excluding statutory holidays.
Hours may vary, so check the calendar above for the most up-to-date schedule.
Access
Students may use the Makerspace under staff supervision after completing the Makerspace Safety Training.
The Makerspace offers appointment-only or walk-in sessions. Walk-in sessions may be restricted to students enrolled in specific courses.

Note: Appointment requests must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance.
