All enrolled ECE Students MUST have obtained safety training before being allowed to use any of our laboratories. This online course contains training modules for undergraduate students, graduate students & teaching assistants. Failure to complete the required training may result in the loss of access to ECE laboratories. The safety training is hosted on UBC Connect – here are the steps to enrol:
1. Visit the Connect Browse Catalog page
2. Set the field Course to: ID
3. Set COURSE ID Contains to: WS.UBC.Safety.Orientation.for.EECE.2016S
4. Then follow the instructions on self enrollment into a course BY CLICKING HERE (No access code is required)
Specific to Grad-Students
Because you are considered an employee of the University, you must abide to Worksafe BC rules and regulations. You must complete the “Preventing and Addressing Workplace Bullying and Harassment Training Course” from UBC RMS, as well as any training courses required by your supervisor for your practical work.
